It's easy and FAST to get to level 7. It takes about 1 1/2 hours to get to level 8. It takes about 2-3 hours (depending on headache level at this point) to get to 9. Doing all the quests at that point will take you to 10. If you don't mind dying alot, you can get to 11-12 fairly easy in the Northlands.

My threshold is after level 8. I ran quests to get to 9.

I'm at level 11 now. It took 3 Northlands "Kill all Charr" runs to level up to 11 from level 10. It looks like it will take about 4 or 5 runs to hit 12. At 11 I can take on almost all the mobs in the Northlands solo. The groups with more than one archer are too tough still though. Once I manage to find a purple shield or purple sword I'll be in much better shape there.

Only got 8xp from normal charr. so im like. yeah forget this im gonna leave. cuz i have no room in my inventory. full of charr hides. runes. dyes. things like that. so yeah the PvP is fun. we totaly owned them. 11-0. lvl 10 monk(me) doesnt let his team die. it was hillairous.

The annoying part is, even if you can do it alone, you need someone to open the gate for you. I mean sure they can leave right after, but you have to keep finding people...

Edit: And yes, the major reason why I kept the latter four of my five created characters in Pre-Searing Ascalon until level 10-11 is because post-searing anything is utter crap.

Pre-searing = awesome.

Yup, anyone with a high level friend can be walked through that. Honestly there isn't ANYTHING in PvE that is difficult. Technically you could get to droknar's at level 2 if someone wanted to get you there. Would be amusing to sit at Ring of fire at level 4 or so LFG though

Have to be level 3 to get out of pre-searing.

..but yeah..

I (with my level 20 Ranger) could run a level 3 to Beacon's Perch easily. Get an experienced runner from there and you have a level 3 sitting in Droknar's :P

Actually you dont, in Beta you had to be lv 3 to get out of pre-searing, but now there is no level requirment, however if you do just a couple of quests for your skills it is hard to leave before lv 2.

You do still need a secondary class before leaving though.

I don't see the point in staying Pre-searing until lvl 16...
It's boring and I don't think you get much from doing it (except the runes).
It isn't much fun either... after that you could just run through missions... but is that fun?

I left at lvl 7, and that was easy (I say that in case some of you level just because they're afraid of that PvP test. It's not difficult, if you lose, try again... I got it at the first time, though)

Just get the skills, armor and a good weapon and then leave. It'll be much more fun.

You pass even if you lose. The PvP test doesn't realy affect anything.

Theoretically you could fight your way up to level 15 only by killing monsters (Northland Charr towards the end) without doing any quests. Then, when you've reached 15, so killing doesn't gain you any XP any more, you could do all the quests, which will still give you XP. This might get you enough XP to reach level 16.

Having said that, let me emphasize the word "theoretically", because it would take ages to reach level 15 only by killing monsters and boring as hell to do it. Nobody would want to do it. What for?

Personally I recommend to leave pre-searing at level 7 or 8. You can reach that easily within a few hours of playing and then you're well prepared for the real thing.

Well, calling a rush from Beacon's to Droknar's EASY is a bit gross.
Just because a few can do it...

Oh trust me I KNOW I should leave at 7 or 8. I'm just not leaving intentionally. It's actually kind of funny the stuff you can find in northlands. I just got a purple shield that's 14 armor and damage reduction 2. Pretty damn good for the TUTORIAL ZONE.

I had a lvl 13 Monk, but it really did take long, and I got bored, he had the collectors armor, painted full black, did all quest, fully explored the map. But I was bored anyway, so I desided to take him to Post-Searing anyway

I think it's stupid after all, because it was really high, but well, it's not that bad.

Thats a bit pointless, I rather enjoy pve. I get to droknars at level 12 or so and get the max AR armor, then go back and finish ascension. Also, the unexplored woodland area in pre searing has a few nice suprises.. that i have no understanding of whatsoever. They aren't well-known though, and you can only get to them during pre searing.

Yeah there are several really pretty dead ends hidden in presearing, with no enemies in them at all. I'm up to level 13 now and 64% into next level

I still haven't done ANY quests either.

I can solo groups of 4 charr now unless it's 2 shaman & 2 hunters...hate that combo. At 13 the level 8 regular charr give 32 xp and the 4 bosses give 96 each. Of course with a teammate that is halved to 16 & 48.

Wish you could salvage runes presear! I get so many in Northlands.

I made it out of pre-seer at lvl 1. I only did the quests required to get out of it and was like 100 xp short of lvl 2. I need to get someone to run that char to Hell's Precipice and beat the game at the lowest possibel level. (Never till a monster, only get 1K from each mission). I wonder what lvl I would be. I think I just came up with a challenge for the next week.

My lowest lvl so far is my lvl 8 10 HP tank monk at the temple of ages.

Well I hit level 15 presearing now. After doing some calculations, level 17 is the highest you can get presearing. The boss Charr would give 16 xp at level 16 (solo...8xp in a team). If you did the ridiculous number of runs, killing the 4 bosses each time to hit 17, the total xp from the quests would still not be enough to push you to 18.

That said, level 15 is the highest I've seen presearing. That level 15 being myself.

If you see Muffy Gutentight ingame, that me, being stoopid!
